Who we are



Jamie Mehringer is a graduate of Jasper HS, Marian University (BS in Sports Management) and Purdue University (Associate Degree in Turfgrass Science). After ten years at Victory Field in Indianapolis, including 5 years as the Head Groundskeeper, he started J&D Turf in 2008. As a sports turf specific company, J&D Turf supplies products and services to athletic fields at all levels. From the Indians and the Colts Practice Facility to Little League Baseball, Jamie steps foot on over 1,000 athletic fields on an annual basis.



Michelle Hancock, Business Manager, joined J&D Turf in the fall of 2011 coming from our partner, Advanced Turf Solutions.  Michelle, a graduate of Westfield High School, also attended Indiana University.  As Business Manager, Michelle handles administrative responsibilities ranging from accounts payable and receivable to purchasing.



Steve Berg, CSFM, joined J&D Turf in the fall of 2011. As a certified sports field manager, Steve brings a diverse background to J&D Turf. Prior to being a part of J&D Turf's crew, Steve was a member of the Kansas City Chief's grounds crew, an assistant grounds supervisor at the National Sports Center, and a grounds superintendent for St. Paul Academy and Summit School in St. Paul, MN. He holds a BS in Horticulture from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.



Evan Buckley, joined the J&D Turf staff in the fall of 2014 as a Sales Consultant. A 2008 graduate of Purdue University (BS in Turfgrass Science), Evan has experience across many levels that J&D Turf services on a daily basis. He was an Assistant Head Groundskeeper at Victory Field, Parks Superintendent with the Town of Fishers, and Head Groundskeeper at both Noblesville and Brownsburg High School.


Zach Simons joied J&D Turf in March 2015 as a Maintenance Technician. He is a 2011 and 2013 graduate of Iowa State University (BS and Masters in Turfgrass Science). He brings experience from the Iowa Cubs, the Iowa State University Athletics, the Toro Company, and as the Head Groundskeeper for Benedictine University. Zach primarily works maintenance and also helps the construction crew.



 Zach Ferguson is a recent graduate of Purdure University (BS in Turfgrass Science). Zach joined the team in the spring of  2015 after a season with the Maryland SoccerPlex, home of the professional women's soccer team, the Washington Spirit. Through his college career, Zach was exposed to a wide variety of experiences from working on the grounds crew for the Purdue Athletic Department to working for the Indianapolis Indians and the Univeristy of Colorado. As a Field Technician with J&D, Zach works primarily with the construction team.
